ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the Indian Rivers Behavioral Health, until 2:00 PM, legally prevailing time, on Thursday, June 25th, 2026, for the Hope Pointe – Existing Building Exterior Improvement. Bids will be received in the Conference Room of WorkSouth, Located at The Village at Northbank, 1490 Northbank Parkway, Suite 200, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, June 22nd, 2026 at 2:00 PM at 1401 Greensboro Avenue, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 in the main level conference room. The exterior areas of the existing building will be available immediately upon the completion of the pre-bid.
Bid Documents (Drawings and Specifications) will be available electronically in PDF digital format to all interested General Contractors and upon request to Subcontractors and/or Dealers. Bid Documents may be examined at the office of the Construction Manager, Hall-Taylor Construction (HTC), 4703 Fosters Industrial Ln, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401, 205-758-8265.
A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Indian Rivers Behavioral Health in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000 must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.
It shall be the bidder's responsibility to visit and familiarize themselves with the site as well as conformity to requirements for contract documents. The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the existing exterior finishes, soffits, fascias, and sheathing shall be demolished and replaced with new. There will be minimal interior renovation work as needed to accommodate the exterior improvements. One new exterior door will be provided. Existing sidewalks will be modified as needed to accommodate the new exterior door. New aluminum walkway covers and canopies will be provided. A new exterior screen fence will be provided at the existing patio.
Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered.
All bidders must be responsible, meeting the criteria and requirements set forth in the Instructions to Bidders in the specifications manual and bid proposal. The owner reserves the right to reject all bids and/or reject and rebid the project should it determine the same is in the best interest of the owner.
Nonresident Bidders must accompany any written bid documents with a written opinion of an attorney at law licensed to practice law in such nonresident Bidder's state of domicile, as to the preferences, if any or none, granted by the law of that state to its own business entities whose principal place of business are in that state in the letting of any or all public contracts.
All bidding questions shall only be submitted by email to the Construction Manager's Representative. Bidders shall contact Hall-Taylor Construction for the email address for submitting questions and/or requesting clarifications. No correspondence shall be allowed directly to the owner and architect any requested contact with the owner shall be through the construction manager.
