NOTICE TO BIDDERS   Sealed bids for the project listed below will be received by the M.S.D. of Decatur Township at the Administration Office, located at 5275 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46221 up to 9:30 a.m. on June 30, 2026. Be sure to notate on the outside of the envelope that your proposal is for the “MSD of Decatur Township – Decatur Central HS Asphalt Project.” Proposals will be opened on June 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Board Room at the above location and will be awarded to the individual presenting the lowest, best, responsible, and responsive bid. Late proposals will not be accepted after this time for any reason.   Decatur Central High School asphalt resurfacing   Mill and Resurface Asphalt Pavement 1. Area based on approximately 20,471 square yards: Contractor will mill existing pavement to an average depth of 2 inches. Millings will be hauled from site. 2. Will need to set aside (142) parking barriers. Do everything possible not to damage any parking barriers. 3. Will clean the pavement of loose material and haul from site. 4. Will apply AE-T (tack) material to pavement to enhance proper bonding. 5. The contractor will furnish and install an average depth of 2 inches of 9.5mm HMA Surface compacted in place. With all work being completed in an estimated 1 phase. 6. Will set up road blocks to stop traffic   Wide Speed Hump Installation with No Milling 1. Speed Hump Installation comprises approximately 11 square yards. 2. There is approximately 1 area where speed humps will be installed. 3. Millings and debris will be removed from the job site area and hauled to proper dump site. The work area will be cleaned. 4. The contractor will apply AE-T (tack) material to the pavement to enhance proper bonding. 5. We will furnish and install 3’’ of 9.5mm HMA Surface compacted in place. 6. A gap in the center of the Speed Hump will be provided for drainage if necessary. 7. Work areas will be barricaded during the repair process.   Reset Parking Barriers 1. Parking Barriers: This proposal includes resetting (142) parking barriers.   Layout and Stripe Parking Lot 1. The contractor will lay out and stripe the parking lot as per the existing layout using White commercial grade traffic paint. The proposal is based on approximately 9,760 lineal feet with (8) compliant ADA parking symbols, (4) No Parking, (4) Fire Lane, (9) Stop Bars, (1) speed bump and (5) Arrows.   A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site on Tuesday, June 18th @ 10:00 a.m. Specifications will be distributed upon request and questions can be directed to Mr. Nelson at (317) 501-7219.   The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any informality and to accept or reject any or all bids received.   Dated this 10th day of June, 2026   BOARD OF EDUCATION M.S.D.
