NOTICE INVITING BIDS
CALDWELL PARK EXPANSION PROJECT

In accordance with the Municipal Code of the City of Redding, sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA 96001, until 3 p.m., July 9, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for the performing of the work as follows:
The project includes targeted asphalt repairs and replacement in select parking lot areas and drive aisles to address deteriorated pavement. The existing restroom facility will be demolished and replaced with a new facility, meeting current codes and accessibility requirements. Improvements also include construction of a new bike park plaza with an associated parking area. New site lighting will be installed around the existing skate park, bike park plaza, and along the Sacramento River Trail to improve visibility and user safety. Limited landscape and irrigation improvements are also proposed including repair of damaged landscape areas.
Engineer's Estimate is $4,650,000 Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time bid is opened. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
