NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above named School District of San Bernardino County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as, “District”, will receive up to but no later than the above stated time, sealed bids for the award of a contract for the above project.
A NON-MANDATORY JOB WALK has been scheduled for this project. This job walk will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 8:00 A.M. beginning at Brentwood ES (first project site) located at 13962 Hook Blvd. Victorville, CA 92394.
Bids shall be received in the place identified above and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
Each Bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents.
Prequalification of Bidders: Bids will not be accepted if a Contractor has not been prequalified where prequalification is required. Prequalification is required for all prime bidders. If this project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (“MEP”) subcontractors (contractors that hold C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses), such MEP subcontractors must also be prequalified. A list of prequalified MEP subcontractors will be made available by the District to all bidders at least five business days prior to the bid opening date. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that all MEP subcontractors holding any of the licenses listed above are properly prequalified before submitting a bid. This prequalification requirements applies even if the subcontractor will perform or is designated to perform, work that does not require one of the licenses listed above, but the subcontractor holds one of the licenses listed above. https://www.qualitybidders.com/users/sign_up. Prequalification documents must be submitted by June 24, 2026 but not less than Ten (10) business days prior to bid opening date. Contractors will be notified by email of their prequalification rating within a reasonable period of time after submission of their prequalification documents.
The District has obtained from the Director of Industrial Relations the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of workman needed to execute the contract. Such rates are on file at the District Office.
The bid documents are available after June 10th, 2026 from the Construction Manager, Erickson- Hall Construction Company contact Nick Hopkins at nhopkins@ericksonhall.com, plans will also be available thru VESD District webpage – http://vesd.net / Departments / Facilities and the Erickson-Hall webpage – ericksonhall.com / Bid-Center. Bidder wishing to receive hard copies of plans can arrange to get them printed at their own expense. There will be no refunds for plans purchased for bidding. No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active B License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor’s California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder’s proposal Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents.
Each bid shall be made out on the form contained in the bid documents. Bid forms shall be sealed in a plain envelope with the name of the bidder and the name of the project marked plainly on the face of the envelope and filed with the said Board of Trustees prior to the 02:00:00 P.M., July 9, 2026, deadline and will be opened and publicly read aloud shortly thereafter on that day in the office of the said Board of Trustees.
