NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF TWO RIVERS
BOARD OF APPEALS
Public notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeals, City of Two Rivers, will meet on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM, Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 1717 East Park Street, for the purpose of hearing the following appeal:
Appeal of Bridget Barrett (owner) proposes to construct a deck in the side yard at 1613 Jackson Street. The property is zoned Residential District (R-3). This appeal is a modification to the previously approved variance for a deck in the rear yard, as a variance is also required for the side yard setback. This appeal is necessary because Section 10-1-15, Entitled “Height and Area Exceptions” includes provisions for the setbacks of decks. Decks in the side yard can project 3 feet into the required side yard, but in no case closer than 6 feet from a property line.
The appeal is for a deck to be built in the side yard because it is proposed to be built past the side yard setback requirement.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, written comments may be submitted and received by the Inspections Department prior to the date of the hearing. Said comments shall be read into the record during the meeting.
