NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ/P) FOR FACILITIES MASTER PLAN UPDATE SERVICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Simi Valley Unified School District (“District”), a California school district, is seeking qualifications and proposals from qualified firms to provide professional facility master planning services. The district is seeking a consultant to review all relevant data provided by the district and prepare a comprehensive list of projects to be completed, including estimated costs at the architectural program level. The district intends to continue to modernize its facilities to better meet student and community needs, including in connection with anticipated future bond funding. The District’s RFQ/P for Services may be downloaded or printed from the district website beginning on June 16, 2026, at http://www.simivalleyusd.org/rfq2. Respondents’ proposals must conform to the form and format described in the RFQ/P and must include the content described therein.
The district completed a Facilities Master Plan in 2016 that identified school improvement needs to serve District residents, many of which improvements have been completed. The district now seeks to update and modernize the Master Plan to afford the district a flexible tool to track and adjust priorities as student and parent needs evolve. The Consultant will review various District documents and assist the district to prepare a comprehensive Facilities Master Plan that will guide facilities planning and improvements. The plan will address short and long-term District goals and objectives. The Facilities Master Plan shall be provided to the district electronically, including an electronic database, and the district shall have all licenses necessary to modify and update the Plan database.
The Consultant must have experience in facilities master planning for California educational facilities, in facilitating innovative and collaborative problem-solving, and in providing updatable, electronic facilities master plan database.
Proposals from qualified Respondents must be received by the District Office no later than 2:00 P.M., July 29, 2026. It is the Respondent’s responsibility to timely submit the proposal to the following District Office for consideration: Pedro Avila, Director of Facilities, Simi Valley USD District Office, 101 West Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA 93065. RFQ/P Responses which are not actually received in the district office at or prior to the latest date/time for submission of RFQ/P Responses will be rejected by the district for non-responsiveness. Respondents are solely responsible for the timely submission of RFQ/P Responses and any and all costs incurred in the preparation of RFQ/P Responses.
The district reserves the right, in its sole discretion during the selection process, to reject any or all responses to this RFQ/P or any portion without exception or explanation. Parties should refer to the district website at http://www.simivalleyusd.org/rfq2 for any updates and addenda issued during the Proposal period.
