The Town of Marshfield, acting through the Historical Commission, invites sealed bids for exterior restoration work at the Daniel Webster Law Office and Museum, located at 238 Webster Street, Marshfield, Massachusetts.
The work generally includes historic exterior restoration consisting of cedar roof replacement, cedar siding and trim replacement, flashing repairs, surface preparation and painting.
The building is a National Historic Landmark. All work must preserve its historic character and comply with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
This procurement is conducted pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Sections 44A through 44H, inclusive, as applicable.

and will be publicly available as of June 25, 2026 at 8:00AM.
General Bids will be opened on July 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the DPW Office (2nd Floor Conference Room), 965 Plain Street, Marshfield, MA 02050. Bids will immediately be opened publicly and read aloud.
Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held at 238 Webster Street; Marshfield, MA 02050 on Wednesday July 1st at 11:00 AM. It is strongly recommended that all prospective bidders have a representative in attendance to have a full understanding of the project.
Prevailing wages apply in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149.
The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
