Notice to the Electors of the
Fox Valley Technical College District, Wisconsin
Relating to Note Sale
On June 16, 2026, pursuant to Section 67.12 (12) of the Wisconsin Statutes, a resolution was offered, adopted, and approved whereby the Fox Valley Technical College District, Wisconsin (the "District") was authorized to borrow money by selling general obligation promissory notes in the principal amount of not to exceed $10,000,000 to finance the following purposes in the approximate respective amounts set forth below:
(b) Building remodeling or improvement (not
including additions or enlargements) $1,500,000
(c) Moveable equipment or machinery (not
including the remodeling or improvement
of any building) 5,000,000
(d) Other projects including site improvements
and software acquisition or upgrades, but
not including buildings, site acquisition,
or equipment 3,500,000
It is anticipated that the closing of this note financing will be held on or about August 4, 2026. A copy of all proceedings had to date with respect to the authorization and sale of said notes is on file and may be examined in the office of the District Secretary, at 1825 North Bluemound Drive, Appleton, Wisconsin between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays.
This notice is given pursuant to Section 67.12 (12) of the Wisconsin Statutes, which provides that a borrowing resolution of the District Board of the District authorizing the issuance of general obligation promissory notes in the foregoing amounts to finance the foregoing purposes need not be submitted to the electors of the District for approval unless, within 30 days after publication of this notice, a petition conforming to the requirements of Section 8.40 of the Wisconsin Statutes is filed with the District Secretary requesting a referendum at a special election to be called for that purpose, which has been signed by the number of electors from each county lying wholly or partially within the District equal to at least 1.5% of the population of the county (or proportionate number, if the county lies in more than one district), as determined under Section 16.96 (2)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
