NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF AMES, IOWA 2025/26 CDBG WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT The City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, will meet on July 14, 2026, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa, at 6:00 p.m., at which time it will hear objections to the plans, specifications, form of contract, and cost estimate for 2025/26 CDBG Water System Improvements Program. The general nature of the work is: 1782 LF of Water Main, Trenchless, PVC, 8" Dia, 143 LF of Water Main, Trenched, PVC, 8" Dia, 110.3 SY of Removal of Sidewalk/Driveway, 77.9 SY of Sidewalk, PCC, 6" Depth, 26.1 SY of Full Depth Patch and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Refer to Sheet C.01 in the plans for items specifics and quantities. THIS PROJECT WILL BE SUBJECT TO DAVIS BACON WAGE RATES AND OTHER FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS.
