Advertisement for Bids
Sealed proposals will be received by Springettsbury Township, York County, Pennsylvania, 17402 until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, for the following two contracts:
1. The Township requests unit price per ton for the following materials contract.
Bituminous Materials:
5,000 tons 9.5 mm Superpave asphalt. 3 to 3 million EASL SRL H
600 tons 19 mm Superpave asphalt
600 tons 25 mm Superpave asphalt
Stone shall be all crushed limestone
1,000 tons 2A
250 tons 2RC
250 tons #1 AASHTO
500 tons #3 AASHTO
100 tons #8 AASHTO
100 tons #10 AASHTO
250 tons #57 AASHTO
250 tons ea. Rip-Rap R4; R6; R8

2. The Township requests unit price for the following milling and asphalt placement contract.
35,289 sq. yds. Milling as directed by Township
36,618 sq. yds. paving fabric placement
4,347 tons 9.5mm Superpave asphalt placement
208 tons 19mm Superpave asphalt placement
312 tons 25mm Superpave asphalt placement
518 tons Compacted 2A placement

Permanent pavement markings as directed by the Township
The information for Bidders, Specifications and Form of Proposals for both contracts may be examined and copies thereof obtained at the office located at 1501 Mount Zion Rd, York, PA. 17402. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price to Springettsbury Township and having a surety thereon such company as may be acceptable to the Township. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid, made payable to Springettsbury Township. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Township. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof whichever is in the best interest of the Township.
