OFFICIAL NOTICE BEFORE THE UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF IOWA TO THE CITIZENS OF DALLAS COUNTY: Notice is given that Central Iowa Power Cooperative, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 478, has filed a petition with the Iowa Utilities Commission (IUC) for extension of franchise to maintain and operate an electric transmission line setting forth the following as the maximum voltage, starting points, routes, and termini of the existing line: EXHIBIT A 69,000 VOLT NOMINAL (72,500 VOLT MAXIMUM) ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINE DALLAS COUNTY, IOWA The West Endpoint is an interconnection with an existing Central Iowa Power Cooperative transmission line located on the Dallas-Guthrie County Line on private right-of-way near the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Seven (7), Township Seventy-eight (78) North, Range Twenty-nine (29) West of the 5th P.M., Dallas County, Iowa. The West Terminus is a Guthrie County Rural Electric Cooperative Association owned substation located in the Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of the Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of Section Fourteen (14), Township Seventy-eight (78) North, Range Thirty (30) West, Guthrie County, Iowa. The East Endpoint is an interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest LLC transmission line located in the Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Seven (7), Township Seventy-eight (78) North, Range Twenty-nine (29) West of the 5th P.M., Dallas County, Iowa. The East Terminus is an ITC Midwest LLC owned substation located in the Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of the Northeast (NE ¼) Section Six (6), Township Seventy-eight (78) North, Range Twenty-nine (29) West Dallas County, Iowa. Beginning at a point of interconnection with an existing Central Iowa Power Cooperative transmission line located on the Dallas-Guthrie County Line (West Endpoint) on private right-of-way near the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Seven (7), Township Seventy-eight (78) North, Range Twenty-nine (29) West of the 5th P.M., Dallas County, Iowa, parallel to the north public road right-of-way of County Road F61; thence east on private right-of-way paralleling said county road through the South Half (S ½) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of said Section Seven (7), to a point of interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest LLC transmission line (East Endpoint), located in the Southeast quarter (SE ¼) of the Southwest quarter (SW ¼) of said Section Seven (7), a distance of four-tenths (0.4) mile. The total distance of this 69kV line is approximately Four Tenths (0.40) of a mile.
