LEGAL NOTICE OF LIABILITY FOR COST FOR
PROPERTY TO BE DEMOLISHED PURSUANT
TO THE INDIANA UNSAFE BUILDING ACT
To all persons or corporations having or claiming any rights, titles or interest in the following real estate, and more specifically:
VOGELZANG GREG A 1213 DIAMOND AVE SOUTH BEND, IN 46628 REGARDING PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1213 DIAMOND AVE AND LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOT 358 VASSAR PK AFFIRMED ORDER UNDER CAUSE NO. HSG-22-00302 TO DEMOLISH GARAGE
Pursuant to the Indiana Unsafe Building Act, an affirmed order to demolish the above-referenced property exists. Because the structure has not been demolished, the City of South Bend shall shall proceed with the demolition of the Structure pursuant to IC 36-7-9-11(a). The cost of this work is estimated to be $2,314.70. The demolition is scheduled on or after7/7/2026. The work to accomplish will be demolition of the Structure and will include all necessary and related work to accomplish the demolition in accordance with the Order. Neighborhood Ser-vices & Enforcement and its designees may access the property to inspect hazards (like asbestos or lead), estimate demolition costs, and remove barriers (including vehicles, fences, personal property, or debris) to secure, assess, or demolish the pre-mises. As a courtesy, you have five (5) calendar days from receipt of this notice to inform the Neighborhood Services and Enforcement at the contact information below in writing of specific personal property items you want to remove before the above date of the demolition. Otherwise, the City of South Bend will retain the rights of salvage, which include the contents of the Structure.
