ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS RENOVATIONS TO THE FIRST FLOOR OF 124 W. MAIN STREET FOR THE CITY OF PRATTVILLE, ALABAMA BID NO. 026-003 Sealed bids for the Renovations to the First Floor at 124 W. Main Street will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 W Main St, Prattville, AL 36067, until 2:00 PM CST on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at which time publicly opened and read aloud at said location. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting shall be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. CST in the Human Resources Conference Room at City Hall, 101 W. Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067. General contractors are required to visit the site and examine conditions following the pre-bid meeting to submit a proposal. Additional review time at the site may be arranged by appointment through the following contact: amy.hilliard@prattvilleal.gov. The principal items of work are approximately as follows: Demolition, new interior stud framing walls, exterior steel framing for a new door, flooring, painting, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. The project shall be completed within 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issuance date. This project shall be bid excluding taxes. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on a complete original proposal made available by the Architects. Bid documents (including drawings, plans, specifications, and proposals) may be accessed by emailing the architect at vanessa.newton@nasarchi.com, for a link to the bid package. Note in the subject line of the email "Project CB". Documents published through this procedure are the only documents endorsed by the Architect. The Architect retains ownership and copyrights of the documents. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. All RFIs regarding the bid documents shall be collected into the RFI LOG located in the folder, then emailed to the Architect. All RFIs must be submitted no later than July 10, 2026. The Architect will not accept inquiries via telephone or fax. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville, Alabama, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany each of the bidder's separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived). Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.
