BIDS FOR REFUSE COLLECTION FOR JACKSON TOWNSHIP Sealed bids will be received by Jackson Township, by and through its Solicitor, Kathryn H. Silcox, Esquire, at Saxton & Stump, 221 West Philadelphia Street, Suite 600, York, Pennsylvania 17401, until July 29, 2026, and will be publicly opened and read at that time. Proposals will be voted upon at Jackson Township meeting held at 439 Roth's Church Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362, on August 4, 2026, beginning at 6:00pm, prevailing time. All bids must be plainly marked “BIDS FOR RESIDENTIAL MUNICIPAL WASTE COLLECTION FOR JACKSON TOWNSHIP - Attention: Kathryn H. Silcox” on the outside of the envelope. All bid forms and specifications may be picked up from the office of the Township Solicitor, Kathryn H. Silcox, Esquire, at the above-listed address, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday or may be requested electronically at: ksilcox@saxtonstump.com. The bids are being solicited for the collection and removal of refuse and recycling, including one (1) large item per week, within Jackson Township for the years 2027-2029 with two optional one year extensions. All bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier’s check, money order or bid bond with corporate surety payable or in favor of Jackson Township in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand ($25,000.00) Dollars. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond and provide proof of insurance, as required by the specifications, within fifteen (15) days after the award has been made by the Township. All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a fully completed Statement of Bidder Qualifications, as well as any other document required by the General Requirements and Conditions for Bidding.
