AURELIUS TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING July 21, 2026 To whom this may concern: The Aurelius Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday July 21, 2026 7:00 p.m. at the Aurelius Township Hall, 1939 S. Aurelius Road to consider the following: An ordinance to amend Chapter 16 of the Township Code of Ordinances, titled, "Zoning," Article IV, titled, "Supplemental Regulations" to add new sub-section 16-580, titled, "Compatible Renewable Energy Ordinance" to regulate the development of certain energy facilities within the Township pursuant to 2023 PA 233, as may be amended, MCL 460.1221 et. seq ; to provide for severability; to repeal certain Ordinances and repeal all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict therewith; and to provide an effective date. Written comments will be received at the Aurelius Township Office, 1939 S. Aurelius Road, Mason, MI 48854 until 3:00 p.m. the day of the hearing.
