OAK CREEK-FRANKLIN JOINT SCHOOL DISTRICT Board of Education Meeting - Minutes June 8, 2026 Meeting - 6:00 p.m.   1. The meeting was called to order by President Frank Carini at 6:00 p.m.   2. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.   3. Roll call was taken.School Board Members Present: Frank Carini, Meredith Wittmann, Mike Dudzik, Kelly Ganiere, Sheryl Cerniglia, Brianna Allen Kaiser, Mark Verhalen. Student School Board Members Paige Stewart, Kara Meyer.   4. School Board President Frank Carini reviewed the Board Meeting and Operating Norms.   5. Sheryl Cerniglia motioned and Mike Dudzik seconded to approve the Agenda. Motion passed 7-0.   6. No people spoke during the public comment period.   7. The Board thanked Lynn Nelson for her service as she is retiring after 14 years and expressed gratitude for all of the District’s retirees, wishing them well. Superintendent Dan Thielen recognized Student School Board Representative, Paige Stewart, for her good work and involvement, and congratulated her on her June 20 graduation. Kara Meyer was welcomed as lead Student Representative.   8. Meredith Wittmann motioned and Kelly Ganiere seconded to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. Motion passed 7-0. a. Meredith Wittmann motioned and Kelly Ganiere seconded to approve the 2026-2027 Employee Compensation Plan effective July 1, 2026. Meredith Wittman motioned and Sheryl Cerniglia seconded to approve the awarding of one free personal day to three separate educators who meet the requirements of completing their HRA by 8/15/26. Motion passed: 7-0. c.2. Sheryl Cerniglia motioned and Brianna Allen Kaiser seconded to approve the awarding of one free personal day to a support staff/District Office non-administrator employee who meet the requirements of completing their HRA by 8/15/26. Motion passed: 7-0. d. Meredith Wittmann motioned and Sheryl Cerniglia seconded to approve the reorganization of the District Office described in the situation report, and the associated cost if needed. Motion passed: 7-0 e. Meredith Wittmann motioned and Mike Dudzik seconded to approve the 2025-2026 Budget adjustments as presented. Motion passes: 7-0. f. Meredith Wittmann motioned and Brianna Allen Kaiser seconded to approve the Connects Learning Center Consortium 66.0301 agreement using the presented resolution. Motion passed: 7-0.   11. Information Items: a. BOE Student Representatives Paige Stewart and Kara Meyer presented the school life quarterly update. b. Athletic and Activities Director, Scott Holler shared athletics and activities updates and acknowledgements. c. The Board reviewed the Tentative Agenda items for the June 22, 2026 and July 13, 2026 meetings.   12. Sheryl Ceniglia moved and Kelly Ganiere seconded to convene in closed session per state statute 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the government body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Roll Call Vote: Carini: Yes, Verhalen: Yes, Ganiere: Yes, Dudzik: Yes, Cerniglia: Yes, Allen Kaiser: Yes, Wittmann: Yes. Motion passed: 7-0. Meeting convened in closed session at 7:03 p.m. Sheryl Cerniglia motioned and Kelly Ganiere seconded to reconvene in open session at 8:01 p.m.   13.
