PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF LAWRENCE, INDIANA NOTICE OF UNSAFE BUILDING HEARING ORDER REQUIRING DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF UNSAFE BUILDING Notice is hereby given pursuant to Indiana Code § 36-7-9 et seq. that the City of Lawrence has issued an Order Requiring Action concerning an unsafe building located at: 7006 Oaklandon Road; Parcel No.: 4005324; Legal Description: PT NE1/4 NE1/4 S33 T17 R5 BEG 350' S OF NE COR S 110' W 200' N 110' E 200' TO BEG .505 AC (.455 AC Tax) The record owner of the property is: 2 Jets LLC; 2210 E. Southport Road; Indianapolis, IN 46227   The City has determined that the structure constitutes an unsafe building because it is in an impaired structural condition making it unsafe to persons or property, constitutes a fire hazard, poses a hazard to public health, is a public nuisance, and is vacant or blighted and not maintained in a manner that would allow human habitation, occupancy, or use. Accordingly, the Enforcement Authority has ordered that the unsafe building be demolished and removed, with demolition and removal to be completed on or before August 23, 2026.   A public hearing on this matter will be held before the City of Lawrence Board of Public Works and Safety on: Date: July 23, 2026; Time: 5:00 p.m.; Location: 9001 East 59th Street, Lawrence, Indiana 46216   The property owner, any person with a substantial property interest in the building, and any person with an interest in these proceedings may appear at the hearing, with or without legal counsel, to present evidence, cross-examine witnesses, and make arguments regarding the Order. Following the hearing, the Board may affirm, modify, or rescind the Order.
