Monday, July 20, 2026, the Hanover Borough Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM in the Borough Council Chambers, 33 Frederick Street – Main Level, Hanover, Pennsylvania, (entry to the building is through the side entrance) to hear the following requests:
A Zoning Hearing Board Application, requesting consideration for a Special Exception, as allowed by the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover, County of York, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was submitted by Philip G. Redding, 751 George Street, Hanover, PA 17331, represented by John R. Wilson, Esquire, with CGA Law Firm, 135 N. George Street, York, PA 17401, for the property located at 751 George Street, Hanover, PA 17331 which includes the following parcels (parcel no. 67-000-14-0001.00-00000; 67-000-DD-0062.00-00000 & 67-000-DD-0228.00-00000), and is located in the MU (Mixed Use) Zoning District. This hearing is a continuance of the April 20, 2026 hearing. The applicant is requesting consideration for relief in the form of a Special Exception, as per:
• Article III Section 140-303 of the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover
The applicant is seeking approval of a Special Exception application as it pertains to section 140-303 of the Mixed-Use (MU) District as listed in the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover, County of York, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as adopted 1/28/26 to allow an expansion of the existing multi-family dwelling use, in the Mixed-Use (MU) zoning district.
A Zoning Hearing Board Application, requesting consideration for approval of a Variance relief request, as allowed by the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover, County of York, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was submitted T. Baird McIlvain Company, 370 Poplar Street, Hanover, PA 17331. Parcel No. 67-000-09-0198-000000 located in the Manufacturing (M) Zoning District. The applicant is requesting consideration for approval of relief in the form of a Variance as per:
• Article III Section 140-304(D) of the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover
Applicant is seeking a Variance, pursuant to Section 140-304(D) allowing for the installation of dust collection and storage equipment which exceed the allowed height requirements.
