NEW HANOVER COUNTY PLANNING BOARD
July 16, 2026
The New Hanover County Planning Board will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2026 beginning at 5:00 p.m. or thereafter at the New Hanover County Historic Courthouse, 24 North Third Street (corner of Third and Princess Street), Room 301, in Wilmington, NC to consider the following requests:

PUBLIC COMMENT:
For the upcoming Planning Board meeting, individuals can submit public comments or questions in advance to https://www.nhcgov.com/1105/Public-Comment-Form by Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. Written comments will be provided to the board, and the board chair will acknowledge receipt during the public hearing or preliminary forum or will submit comments into the record during the public hearing or preliminary forum.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Item 1: Rezoning Request – (Z26-07 – PNC Bank) – Request by Adam Williamson with NWF Acquisitions, LLC, applicant, on behalf of Daniel Furr with Furr Family Partnership, LLC, property owner, to rezone approximately 0.96 acres located at 8086 Market Street from I-1, Light Industrial to (CZD) B-2, Regional Business for the use of Financial Institution and other limited uses.
Item 2: Rezoning Request – (Z26-08 – Heron Point Commons) – Request by Craig Johnson with Heron Cove Development, LLC, applicant and property owner, on behalf of Peter and Jamie Zeman, property owner, to rezone approximately 1.0 acres located at 6641 Gordon Road and 1901 GordonAcres Drive from R-15, Residential to a (CZD) CB, Community Business district for the use of business service center, offices for private business and professional activities, and other limited uses.
The Planning Board may consider substantial changes to petitions as a result of objections, debate, and discussion at the meeting.
