INVITATION TO BID
The Wayne County Commissioners will receive sealed bids until 4:00 PM prevailing time on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the office of the Commissioners on the Third Floor of the Court House Annex at 925 Court Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the regular meeting of the Commissioners that begins at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Bid packages including drawings and specifications may be obtained at the above address or by contacting the Commissioner’s Office at (570) 253-5970 extension 4050. A $10.00 non-refundable fee is required for the bid packages. Checks or money orders are to be payable to the Wayne County Commissioners.
Bids are invited on the following:
The work involves milling approximately 180 square yards of existing pavement from roadway and bridge, Paving work includes approximately 180 square yards of wearing course - 1 ½" depth and traffic control line painting.
The sealed bid must be marked "WAYNE COUNTY VAN AUKEN BRIDGE PAVING PROJECT.” A certified check or bank draft payable to Wayne County, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid, shall be submitted with each bid.
The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the Bidding. Bids may be held by the Commissioners for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder, prior to the award of the Contract. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest Responsible bidder.
