PUBLIC NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on July 21, 2026 at 6:00 PM, The Zoning Board of the Borough of Carteret will hold a public hearing on the application of Kinder Morgan Liquid Terminals, LLC. The property which is the subject of the application is located at 78 Lafayette Street and designated as the attached Lot and Block numbers on the Borough of Carteret Tax Map. The application seeks amended site plan approval in order to construct two (2) butane sphere tanks, pumps, a master meter, a transmixer tank, loading areas and associated piping. A (d) (6) height variance is required with regard to the height of a principal structure where the maximum permitted is 60 feet, and proposed are the two butane spheres with a height of 78 feet 2 and 5/8 inches, a (c) bulk variance to permit an accessory building in the front yard of Lafayette Street where required is no accessory building in the front yard, together with such other variances, waivers or other relief as is necessary for the project as proposed or as amended. The meeting of the Zoning Board of the Borough of Carteret will be in person at the Memorial Municipal Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey 07008.
