ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Wellersburg District Volunteer Fire Company 125 Firehouse Road, Wellersburg, Pennsylvania, 15564 Separate sealed BIDS will be received for construction of the Wellersburg District Volunteer Fire Company – Proposed Building Addition and Alterations Project. The project scope of work involves construction of a 3,360 square foot truck room addition to the existing facility. The project also includes existing facility alterations such as but not limited to select interior and exterior demolition, construction of two (2) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant restrooms, installation of a vertical platform lift and ingress/egress alterations. Bids will be received for general, electrical, mechanical and plumbing construction associated with the project. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on _Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wellersburg District Volunteer Fire Company, at 125 Firehouse Road, Wellersburg, PA, 15564. Bids will be received by Somerset Engineering at the office of 222 West Main Street, Suite 100, Somerset, PA 15501, until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 27, 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications for bidding purposes will be available for review beginning Monday, July 13, 2026, and can be purchased from the office of Somerset Engineering located at 222 West Main Street, Suite 100, Somerset, PA 15501, (814-443-1319) for the non-refundable fee of $26.50, which includes 6% Pennsylvania sales tax. Contract documents and plans will be in electronic format; the bidder must have a valid email address and will require an internet connection. Upon receipt of payment, the bidder will receive the Contract documents. All checks shall be made payable to Somerset Engineering and mailed to 222 West Main Street, Suite 100, Somerset, PA 15501. Addenda, and or clarifications if any, will be issued to only those bidders whose name and address are on record as having obtained the contract documents and attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Wellersburg District Volunteer Fire Company, or negotiable U.S. Government Bond (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.
