American Towers LLC is proposing to replace an existing 113' wood pole telecommunications tower with a new 165' steel monopole telecommunications tower that will use the existing compound plus a new 50'x100' compound expansion, along with a 30ft buffer surrounding the current and proposed lease area at 9371 US 31 North, Petoskey, Emmet County, MI, Tax Parcel ID: 01-16-34-100-048. The new tower structure will not be lit. American Towers LLC seeks comments from all interested persons on any potential significant impact the proposed action could have on the quality of the human environment pursuant to 47 C.F.R. Section 1.1307, including potential impacts to historic or cultural resources that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.
