Please take notice that the Board of Supervisors of Swatara Township, Lebanon County, PA, scheduled a Public Hearing for Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., Swatara Township Bldg. 68 Supervisors Dr., Jonestown, PA 17038, to discuss amendments to its Zoning Ordinance. Please be advised the earliest the Swatara Township Supervisors may take formal action to adopt the proposed Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance is Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the regularly scheduled meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. A summary of the changes include the following: 1) Modifying Part 1, Definitions, to add the definition of "Data Centers", "Data Center Accessory Uses", "Grubbing" and "Deforestation/Forest Clearance"; 2) amending Part 7; Residential Forest District, to modify permitted uses, lot size, and ecological safeguards; and 3) adding Data Centers and Data Center Accessory Uses as a conditional use subject to certain conditions to Part 12, Industrial District. The Ordinance also provides for severability and repealer and an effective date within five (5) days following enactment.
