The Defendants, James P. Needs & Unknown Spouse, if any, whose last known address is 1108 16th Street NE, Canton, OH 44705; Gladys M. Needs & Unknown Spouse, if any, 1108 - 16th Street NE, Canton, OH 44705, Harry P. Needs & Unknown Spouse, if any, Address Unknown; George M. Schorsten & Unknown Spouse, if any, Address Unknown; Mary Ann Schorsten & Unknown Spouse, if any, Address Unknown; Paula Louise Colaner & Unknown Spouse, if any, 1570 Ambler Avenue SW, Canton, OH 44709, if deceased, if living, whose names and addresses are unknown, and if the above Defendants are deceased, the unknown widow, widower, devisees, legatees, heirs at law, executors, administrators, assigns and the unknown guardians of minor and/or incompetent heirs, whose names and addresses are unknown, will please take notice that on the 7th day of July, 2026, Treasurer of Stark County, Ohio, filed a Complaint for Foreclosure in the case for the foreclosure of tax lien encumbering the following property as set forth below:
Known as and being Permanent Parcel No. 229661, a vacant lot at 16th Street NE, Canton, OH 44705, Stark County, further described in the Preliminary Judicial Report filed with the Stark County Clerk of Courts.
This foreclosure proceeding is captioned, Alexander A. Zumbar, Treasurer of Stark County, Ohio v. James P. Needs, et al., Case No. 2026MI00118, Stark County Board of Revision, 110 Central Plaza South, Suite 220, Canton, Ohio, and requests that this real estate be sold at public auction or otherwise disposed of pursuant to O.R.C. 323.65 to 323.78.
You will take notice that unless you answer the allegations contained in said Complaint on or before the 25th day of August, 2026, judgment will be taken against you for the foreclosure of said tax lien, sale of property and other relief, together with the costs of this action.
You will further take notice that a Valuation Hearing is scheduled for August 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The Final Hearing is scheduled for August 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. At the Hearing the Board of Revision may determine that the property is abandoned, that there are delinquent taxes owing on the property, and may order the property foreclosed pursuant to O.R.C. 323.65 to O.R.C. 323.78.
