NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Destin Harbor & Waterways Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 5:30 P.M., at Destin City Hall Annex, 4100 Indian Bayou Trail, Destin, Florida, to consider the following: 1.) A public hearing regarding nonresidential marine construction as part of the Joe’s Bayou Recreation Area Improvements Project (Application number: PZ-2026-58) located at 800 Beach Drive (Parcel ID: 00-2S-22-1360-0010-0010, 00-2S-22-1360-0020-0010 and 00-2S-22-1360-0020-0070). The proposed marine construction will consist of extending and reconfiguring the existing timber fishing pier, installation of breakwaters, revetment, seawalls, a fixed mooring pier, ADA paddle craft launch, a fixed access pier, a floating ADA access pier, and expansion of the boat launch/ramp area. This marine construction is in addition to the upland improvements that are not subject to the review of the Harbor and Waterways Board, such as recreational area improvements which include the reconstruction of the existing parking facility, public restrooms, retrofitting the existing stormwater management facility, installing a stormwater conveyance system throughout the site, and constructing pedestrian pathways to improve public access and circulation.
