NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals will be received by the Village of Put-In-Bay at the office of the Village Administrator at 435 Catawba Ave, Put-In-Bay, Ohio, until 10:00 a.m., local time, on July 30, 2026 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud; said proposals shall be for the project known as:
“Village of Put-In-Bay Promenade Reconstruction”
Complete sets of bidding documents, including plans and specifications for the project may be obtained from Becker Impressions, 4646 Angola Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615. Call 419-385-5303 for an appointment to pick up bid package or visit their website https://www.beckerplanroom.com. There will be a charge per set of 22”x 34” plans and specifications book to be reproduced.
Bids must be submitted on the forms bound in the Bidding Document; must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, must include a notarized non-collusion clause, and must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either:
1. A bond for the full amount of the bid in substantially the same form as that document which is part of this bid packet and designated as “SURETY BID BOND AND PERFORMANCE BOND” OR
2. A bond for 10% of the amount of the bid in substantially the same form as that document which is part of this bid packet and designated as the “TEN PERCENT (10%) BID GUARANTY” OR
3. A certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit issued pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, attached to a bid document in substantially the same form as the “TEN PERCENT (10%) BID GUARANTY.” The amount of the certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit shall be equal to 10% of the bid. Any letter of credit is revocable only at the option of the Village.
All bid guaranties shall be payable to the Village of Put-In-Bay for the benefit of the Village of Put-In-Bay. All bonds shall be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio as a surety and shall be approved by the Village’s Solicitor. All certified checks, cashier’s checks, or letters of credit shall be made payable to the Village of Put-In-Bay.
BIDS TO REMAIN SUBJECT TO ACCEPTANCE: All bids will remain subject to acceptance for sixty-days after the Bid opening, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the bid security prior to that date.
The successful bidder shall pay each worker employed by said contractor and cause all subcontractor(s), or other person(s) about or upon the public work, to pay at least the minimum prevailing wage rates on this Village of Put-In-Bay, Ottawa County, Ohio public improvement as determined by the State Prevailing Wage and Related Acts. The CONTRACTOR shall promptly comply and cause all subcontractors to promptly comply with all state and federal laws regarding drug-free workplace.
Engineer’s Estimate: $638,858.46
The Village of Put-In-Bay, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bidding.
