OFFICIAL NOTICE BEFORE THE UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF IOWA TO THE CITIZENS OF BOONE COUNTY: Notice is given that Central Iowa Power Cooperative, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 478, has filed a petition with the Iowa Utilities Commission (IUC) for extension of franchise to maintain and operate an electric transmission line setting forth the following as the maximum voltage, starting points, routes, and termini of the existing line: EXHIBIT A 69,000 VOLT NOMINAL (72,500 VOLT MAXIMUM) ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINE BOONE COUNTY, IOWA The East Endpoint is an interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest LLC transmission line located near the Southeast Quarter Corner of Section Thirty-six (36), Township Eighty-three (83) North, Range Twenty-six (26) West of the 5th P.M., Boone County, Iowa. The East Terminus is an ITC Midwest owned Substation located in the Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of Section Twenty-five (25), Township Eighty-two (82) North, Range Twenty-six (26) West of the 5th P.M., Boone County, Iowa. The West Endpoint and Terminus is a Midland Power Cooperative Substation located in the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of Section Thirty-six (36), Township Eighty-three (83) North, Range Twenty-six (26) West of the 5th P.M., Boone County, Iowa. Beginning at a point in the west public right-of-way of State Highway 17 and an interconnection with an existing ITC Midwest LLC transmission line (East Endpoint) located near the Southeast Quarter Corner of Section Thirty-six (36), Township Eighty-three (83) North, Range Twenty-six (26) West of the 5th P.M., Boone County, Iowa; thence westerly in the north public right-of-way of 280th Street and along the south line of said Section Thirty-six (36) to a point located in the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of Section Thirty-six (36), Township Eighty-three (83) North, Range Twenty-six (26) West approximately Three tenths (0.30) of a mile; thence northwesterly in private right-of-way to end user property and a Midland Power Cooperative owned Substation (West Endpoint) located in the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of the Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of Section Thirty-six (36), Township Eighty-three (83) North, Range Twenty-six (26) West of the 5th P.M., Boone County, Iowa approximately Three hundredths (0.03) of a mile. The total distance of this 69kV line is approximately Thirty-three (0.33) hundredths of a mile.
