The applicant is seeking D(1) Use Variance and preliminary and final site plan approval from the Zoning Board of Adjustment for improvements to the existing parking lot and to permit interior renovations of an existing commercial space, specifically converting a portion of the premises from office use to a prayer room/house of worship, while all other tenant spaces will remain unchanged; the existing first-floor common toilet facilities will be redesigned for barrier-free accessibility, with no changes proposed to electrical lines, lighting, exterior walls, structural elements, or the roof. A D(1) use variance is required, as a prayer room/house of worship is not a permitted use in the B-I Zone.
