65th Wedding Anniversary Virgil Sandra S

Virgil and Sandra (Kirkpatrick) Sexton of Ashland will mark their 65th wedding anniversary, also called the Blue Sapphire Anniversary, on March 18th. Virgil and Sandy were married on March 18, 1961 by the Rev. Johnny Jason and have lived in Ashland their entire married life. Virgil was the owner of Sexton Plumbing & Heating until his retirement in December 2003. Sandy's retirement in 2012 from the Ashland County Community Foundation followed years of service as Administrative Assistant at First Presbyterian Church. The couple have three children: Monty Sexton (Fuquay-Varina, NC), Cindy (Richard) Reninger, and Brett (Jessica) Sexton (both of Charlotte, NC). Their son Lonnie died in infancy.
