ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Legal Notice to Bidders Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Union Free School District Hawthorne, NY 10532 2025-2026 School Year Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Union Free School District (HCKUFSD), located in Hawthorne, New York, hereby invites the submission of sealed bids on the following items and/or services: 2025 Capital Project - Project #213-2501 PROJECT INFORMATION 1.1 THE Owner (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS Owner): Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Union Free School District Address: 226 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532 (914-749-2929) 1.2 AND THE Architect (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS Architect): CSArch Address: 19 Front Street, Newburgh, New York 12550 (845-561-3179) SED Control Numbers Cedar Knolls Academy (CKA) 66-08-03-02-0-018-003 Linden Hill High School (LHHS) 66-08-03-02-0-016-002 The Owner, the Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Union Free School District, will receive sealed bids to furnish all material and labor necessary to complete the 2025 Capital Project, which includes: All work will take place at Linden Hill High School and Cedar Knolls Academy, involving the removal of existing roof-mounted chillers and dust collectors, followed by restoration of affected building envelope areas. New ground-mounted chillers will be installed, including concrete pads, fencing, and interior modifications to support the updated systems. Each bid shall be submitted on a stipulated sum basis for the following contracts: CONTRACTS Contract No. 01 General Construction Work Prime Contract (GC) Contract No. 02 Mechanical Work Prime Contract (MC) Contract No. 03 Electrical Work Prime Contract (EC) BID INFORMATION 2.1 Sealed bids will be received until the time indicated below. Bids received after this time will not be accepted and returned to the Bidder unopened. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud after specified receipt time. An abstract of Bids received will be made available via www.csarchplanroom.com. Due Date/ Time: October 14, 2025 at 3:30 PM Location: Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Union Free School District at the Cedar Knolls Academy in Room Number 106 # of copies: Two (2) BIDDING DOCUMENTS 3.1 It is the intention of this Project to be both environmentally and fiscally conscious of paper use and consumption. Therefore, documents will be distributed as digital sets. Bidding Documents, Drawings, and Specifications may be viewed online free of charge beginning 09-15-2025 at www.csarchplanroom.com under 'Public Projects', or electronically downloaded for a non-refundable fee of one-hundred dollars ($100.00). 3.2 Complete sets of Bidding Documents, Drawings, and Specifications, on compact disc (CD) or USB flash drive may be obtained from Rev, 28 Church Street, Warwick, New York 10990 Tel: (845) 651-3845, upon depositing the sum of one-hundred dollars ($100.00). Checks or money orders shall be made payable to Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Union Free School District. 3.3 Bidder must provide Bid Security in the amount and form, per the terms indicated in Section Instructions to Bidders. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for forty-five (45) days following the receipt of Bids. The Owner may, in its sole discretion, reject any Bid and return Bid Security prior to that date. A full performance bond, together with labor and material payment bonds in form acceptable to Owner shall be required of the successful Bidder for the full contract amount. 3.4 A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, September 25, 2025, at the Cedar Knolls Academy (Room Number 106) located at 226 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532. Bidders are advised to assemble at the Cedar Knolls Academy in Room Number 106. Attendance of this meeting is recommended as the Owner, Architect and/or consultants will be present to discuss the Project. Attendees should anticipate 30 minutes of Q & A session. For bidders unable to attend this conference or requesting additional opportunity to visit the site(s), arrangements can be made for appointment, by contacting Anthony Palma, Director of Facilities, Hawthorne Cedar Knolls U.F.S.D., Office: (914) 749-2929. 3.5 Bids shall not include New York State sales and compensating use taxes on materials and supplies incorporated into the Work, as the Owner being exempt therefrom. Bidders must comply with New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule and conditions of employment.
