ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ECONOMY BOROUGH MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY ECONOMY BOROUGH, BEAVER COUNTY, PA FIRETHORN ROAD SEWER REPLACEMENT General Notice Economy Borough Municipal Authority (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Firethorn Road Sewer Replacement Contract No. 2025-04 Sealed bids for the construction of the Project will be received at Economy Borough Municipal Authority located at 2860 Conway Wallrose Road, Baden, PA 15005, until Friday, January 9, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: Replacing in-kind of existing manholes, replacing in-kind of existing sanitary line, extension of existing stormwater line, and restoration work of the extensive erosion. The Project has an expected duration of 120 days. Obtaining the Bidding Documents The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Accu-Copy 302 Thomson Park Drive, Cranberry Township, PA 16066 Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. local time, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above for $125.00 plus shipping. Pre-bid Conference A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. local time at Economy Borough Municipal Authority located at 2860 Conway Wallrose Road, Baden, PA 15005. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Instructions to Bidders. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each contractor is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Owner herby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received. Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the Bid Due Date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case the Bids shall remain open to acceptance and shall be irrevocable for a period of ninety (90) days after the Bid Due Date.
