General Notice:
The Sun Valley General Improvement District, (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Prosser Sanitary Sewer Regrade and Baring Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Regrade. Sealed Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Office of Sun Valley General Improvement District, 5000 Sun Valley Boulevard, Sun Valley, NV 89433 until Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 11:00 AM local time. Following the receipt of the Bids, they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Project includes the following Work:
Furnishing of all the materials, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, services and documentation as required by the Contract Documents. 15-Inch Prosser Sanitary Sewer Regrade: Pothole existing utilities in advance of construction, install two 2100 GPM bypass pumps, piping and controls around the work, remove and abandon approx. 730 lineal feet of 15" sewer pipe and three manholes, install approx. 730 lineal feet of new 15" gravity PVC, three 60" manholes, asphalt road repair, concrete and storm drain repair, site restoration including fencing landscaping tree trimming, dewatering, traffic maintenance and control and all related appurtenances and incidental work. 21-Inch Baring Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Regrade: Pothole existing utilities in advance of construction, install two 2100 GPM bypass pumps, piping and controls around the work, replacement of approx. 500 LF of 21" inch gravity sanitary sewer interceptor main, three manholes, bypass pumping, asphalt road repair and all the related appurtenances and incidental work. Pre-construction videos are REQUIRED prior to any saw-cut or underground work and roadway striping; including chevrons, stop bars or any and all right of way striping.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents:
The Contract Documents can be reviewed and then purchased for $22.00 through Quest CDN. The link can be found on the Shaw Engineering website under "Bidding" at https://shawengineering.com. Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM, local time, at office of the Sun Valley General Improvement District Board Meeting Room located at 5000 Sun Valley Blvd (SVGID Board Room is located on the lower level, please use Prosser entrance). Bidders, Subcontractors, Suppliers and other interested parties are encouraged to attend.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form (separate Bid package). Successful Bidders will be required to furnish both a payment Bond and performance Bond in the full amount of the contract price.
The Owner will not award the Contract to a Bidder who, at the time of submitting a Bid, was not properly licensed under the provisions of Chapter 624 of NRS or if the Contract would exceed the limit of the Bidders license.
