ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The City of Gastonia will receive sealed proposals until 11:00 AM AUGUST 4, 2026 at the Municipal Operation Center, 1300 N. Broad St., Gastonia NC 28054 for BROOKLYN WATER RELOCATION PROJECT at which time and place bids will be opened and read aloud. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 AM, JULY 21, 2026, at the Municipal Operation Center, 1300 N. Broad St., Gastonia NC 28054 for prospective bidders to present any questions they have about the bidding. Plans and specifications may be viewed online and ordered by registering with the Issuing Office at www.dpibidroom.com. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be purchased and downloaded from the Issuing Office's website as "zipped" portable document format (PDF) files. The cost of printed Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. The City of Gastonia reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Project Description: This project will abandon several existing high-risk waterlines within the Brooklyn Neighborhood in Cramerton NC. The existing 1-inch thru 6-inch aged waterlines run through backyards on private properties and are therefore difficult for City of Gastonia Public Utility employees to service and maintain. This project will install approximately 2500 lf. of new waterlines in sizes 2-inches thru 8-inches. The customers served on the lines to be abandoned will be reconnected to the existing new waterlines in the road rights-of-way on Washington St., Brooklyn Ave, Scoggins St., Park St., and Eighth Ave. For more information regarding this project, contact: Jason Wallace (704) 854-6696.
