ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the Tazewell Pike Water Line Improvements will be received, by Northeast Knox Utility District, at 7214 Washington Pike, Corryton, TN 37721 until 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing approximately 16,500 LF of water line, including 9,800 linear feet (LF) of 16" DIP water line, 6,700 LF of 12" DIP water line and all associated tie-ins, services, valves, fittings, and appurtenances. The project will take along Tazewell Pike, between Tindell Lane and Cliff Ridge Court, in Corryton, TN. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract on a unit price basis. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at Cannon & Cannon, Inc., 10025 Investment Dr. Suite 120, Knoxville, TN 37932, 865-670-8555 on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, or online at www.cannon-cannon.com and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents as described below. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from Cannon & Cannon, Inc. during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $100.00 for each set. Obtaining printed copies requires prior notice to the Engineer of two business days. There will be no refunds of any type. Only those entities that obtain copies of the Contract Documents from the Issuing Office will be eligible to bid. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Northeast Knox Utility District at 7214 Washington Pike, Corryton, TN 37721. Bid security shall be furnished in the amount of five percent of the total bid amount in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. The Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities therein.
