For this project, the Village of West Milwaukee will ONLY be receiving and accepting bids for the S. 49th Street Improvements Project via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. Electronic bids will be accepted until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 5, 2026. After the official Bid closing time, the Bids will be opened, reviewed and posted on the QuestCDN.com website. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button at the top of advertisement. The electronic bid form will be available for completion beginning Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

All bidders must file a "Bidders Proof of Responsibility Form" with the Village Engineer on or before 4:00 P.M. on July 31, 2026.
The work being completed on S. 49th Street is being partially funded by WisDOT through the Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) using MSILT funds.

The Alternate B (45th Street Alley) work generally consists of the following: Restoration - 1 LS, Traffic Control - 1 LS, Erosion and Dust Control - 1 LS, Milling Pavement (2 Inches) – 1,174 SY, 7 Inch Concrete Base Repair – 235 SY, Dense Graded Base (3/4") – 79 TON, and Bit. The Alternate C (Miller Park Way) work generally consists of the following: Restoration - 1 LS, Traffic Control - 1 LS, Erosion and Dust Control - 1 LS, Pavement Sawing – 285 LF, Pavement Removal – 1,468 SF, Concrete Curb & Gutter Removal – 13 LF, Dense Graded Base (1.25") – 55 TON, 9" Concrete Pavement (HES) – 164 SY, 31" Concrete Curb & Gutter – 13 LF, Manhole Adjustment – 2 EA, Storm Inlet Adjustment – 1 EA, Pavement Marking, Epoxy, White, 8-inch – 26 LF, Pavement Marking, Epoxy, White, 6-inch – 92 LF
Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Village of West Milwaukee in an amount of 5 percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 10 days after the Award, the Check or Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages.
Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided and all blanks must be filled in for the bid to be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening.
The Village reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the Work and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and the right to accept the Bid and Bids which best serve the interests of the Village.
