ADVERTISEMENT TO BID MGL c.149 Over $150K The MASSACHUSETTS MILITARY DIVISION, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the project 250772 Repair Building Envelope Enlisted Barracks 5243 at Enlisted Barracks (5243) in Sandwich, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by EDGEWOOD DESIGN + ARCHITECTURE. The project will be made available on BidDocsOnline on 12 August 2026 at 12pm. This project consists of but is not limited to a comprehensive building enclosure rehabilitation of the three-story Enlisted Barracks Building 5243 at Camp Edwards at Joint Base Cape Cod in Sandwich Massachusetts. The building is approximately 205 feet long and contains approximately 8,450 square feet per floor across three occupied floors. Approximately 10,000sf of asbestos abatement at the existing CMU backup wall (damp-proofing). Approximately 10,000sf of new insulation/air barrier/brick veneer. Approximately 76 aluminum framed windows. New doors and louvers. New metal exterior stairs. The work is estimated to cost $4,014,000.00. TRADES Masonry, Miscellaneous and Ornamental Metals, Waterproofing/Damp-proofing/Caulking, Metal Windows, Painting, Heating/Ventilating/Air-Conditioning (HVAC), Electrical Work General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the MASSACHUSETTS MILITARY DIVISION. General bidders must agree to contract with minority, women and veteran-owned business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO).
