ADVERTISMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received from bidders by the CAJUNDOME at their Administrative Offices, 444 Cajundome Boulevard, Lafayette, Louisiana, 70506 until 2:00 PM, Thursday - April 16, 2026 for the following: REPLACEMENT OF THE OPERABLE PANEL PARTITIONS AT THE CAJUNDOME CONVENTION CENTER 444 Cajundome Boulevard Lafayette, Louisiana and will shortly thereafter, be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the above-specified time for opening shall not be considered and shall be returned unopened to the sender. The Work of the Base Bid generally consist of removing and disposing of the existing Second Floor Festival Ballroom "Hufcor" operable panel partitions and the furnishing and installation of approximately 460 linear feet x 14'-0" high new operable panel partitions together with at minimum, removal, disposal and replacement of associated designated portions of existing damaged partition tracks, and other necessary appurtenances as specified herein. Note in the Base Bid, the Contractor will have the option to completely remove, dispose of, and replace the entire track assembly where they are of the opinion that a new track is required for the compatible operation of the new panels. The Work of Alternate No. 1 generally consist of the requirement for the complete removal and disposal of the existing Operable Panel Partition Tracks and replacing them with new appropriate tracks produced by the new Panel Manufacturer. General contractors (Prime Bidders), subcontractors and material suppliers interested in bidding shall obtain complete sets of plans, specifications and bid documents at the office of The Sellers Group - A Professional Corporation, Architects at 147 Easy Street, Lafayette, Louisiana 70506 (337) 232-0778 upon deposit of $100.00, plus a $15.00 postage and handling fee if applicable, for each set of documents. Deposit for the first set is fully refundable to all bona fide prime contract bidders, and a refund of $50.00 will be made for all additional sets to general contractors and to all subcontractors, and material suppliers upon return of documents in good condition not later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids. The deposit for damaged, incomplete, or late returned documents may be forfeited. Partial sets of documents will not be issued. As an alternative or in addition to printed plans and specifications, Contractors, at their option, may acquire an electronic copy (emailed in PDF format) set of plans, specifications, and Bidding Documents from the office of the Architect at no charge. Specifications and bid documents shall be available until twenty-four (24) hours before the bid opening. A Pre-bid Conference will be held at the Cajundome Convention Center on Tuesday - April 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM. All interested Contractors and Material Suppliers are encouraged to attend. Each quotation shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the Owner, the amount of which shall be five percent (5%) of the total amount bid (including alternates if applicable). If a bid bond is used, it shall be written by a surety or insurance company currently on the U. S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with a least an A- Rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to ten percent of policyholders' surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide. The bid bond shall be issued by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana and countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond issuer as a licensed agent in this state. The certified check, cashier's check or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder shall execute the contract, should it be awarded to him, in conformity with the contract documents. The successful contractor will be required to execute Performance and Labor, and Material Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract as more fully defined in the bid documents. The Contractor and all of his Subcontractors awarded this project shall be designated as an Agent for the Purchasing of Materials and/or Leasing of Equipment by the Owner and will thereby be exempt from the payment of State and Local Sales and Use taxes for this project as specified in the Project Manual. Contractors or contracting firms submitting bids in the amount of $50,000.00 or more shall certify that they are licensed contractors under Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 for the classification of BUILDING CONSTRUCTION or LIMITED SPECIAL SERVICES and show their license number on the front of the sealed envelope in which their bid is enclosed. Bids in the amount of $50,000.00 or more, not submitted in accordance with this requirement, shall be rejected and shall not be read. If the contract price is less than $50,000.00, the contractor need not be licensed. Any bid submitted that does not require the contractor to hold a license shall state the exemption on the bid envelope. Additional information relative to licensing may be obtained from the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements in accordance with LA. R. S. 38:2212(B)5. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. Each bid shall be submitted only on the Bid Form included in the Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all quotations or any portions thereof for just cause. In accordance with LA R. S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the invitation to bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.
