Abandoned Vehicle Auction A public auction will be held on Saturday October 25, 2025 , beginning at 9am at 155 South 13th Street, West Des Moines, Iowa for disposal of approximately 40 abandoned vehicles.. All items will be sold to the highest bidder. All items are sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee. These vehicles have been impounded by the following companies: Roy's Towing and Recovery, Central Iowa Towing and Recovery, Inc-Ames, and Central Iowa Towing and Recovery, Inc-Des Moines. Auction list and vehicle pictures can be found by liking Roy's Towing and Recovery on Facebook and going into the event details. Vehicle inspections will begin 10/25/2025 from 8a-sale time. Auction registration begins at 8:00am, with the sale beginning promptly at 9:00am. Bidders must have a valid drivers license Sale is outdoors, dress appropriately All sales are cash or credit card (4% credit card fee applies) All vehicles must be removed by 8 am on 10/27/2025.
