Advertisement for Bid Sealed bids will be received by the Peoria Park District, Peoria, Illinois, hereinafter known as the Owner, for the following project: FLOOR REPLACEMENT – WATER TABLE EXHIBIT PEORIA PLAYHOUSE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM 2218 N PROSPECT RD PEORIA, ILLINOIS It is the intent of the Owner to receive Base Bids for the project listed above. Sealed bids will be received until January 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm prevailing time, by the Owner, at the Peoria Park District Administrative Office, 1125 W. Lake Ave., Peoria, Illinois 61614. (The Board Room clock shall be the official time keeping device in respect to the bid submission deadline.) An electronic file including Bid Documents is available at www.peoriaparks-planning.org at no charge. Bid Documents, including Plans, Specifications and Interpretations for this project may be obtained at the Planning, Design & Construction Department, Bradley Park Equipment Service, 1314 N. Park Road, Peoria, IL 61604. Telephone (309) 686-3386. A non-refundable plan deposit of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) will be charged for each printed set of Bid Documents. A list of planholders can be obtained upon request. This information will be available up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled bid opening time. After that deadline, no information pertaining to the project will be given. A 10% Bid Bond is required, and is to be included with the Bid Proposal. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond within ten (10) days of formal Award of Contract. The general prevailing rate of wage for the Peoria area shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this contract or perform this work as required by the State of Illinois Department of Labor. Additionally, it is required that provisions of the Illinois Preference Act, the Illinois Drug Free Workplace Act, and the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Act must be adhered to. Bidders are also advised that contract documents for this project include the non-discrimination, equal opportunity and affirmative action provisions in the Human Rights Act and rules and regulations of the Department of Human Rights.
