Advertisement for Bids The AlWood CUSD #225 will receive sealed bids from contractors at the Office of the Superintendent, AlWood CUSD #225, 301 East Fifth Avenue, Woodhull, IL 61490, for: 9915-94 AlWood Middle-High School Reroof 2026, AlWood Middle-High School 301 East Fifth Avenue, Woodhull, Illinois 61490. Bids will be received by the Owner until 2:00pm , prevailing time, 02-11-2026, or authorized postponement thereof. Generally, the work includes removal of the existing roofing system and replacement of existing ballasted EPDM roofing with new adhered EPDM roofing system. The District will open and read aloud all bids immediately after the specified closing time. All bidders are invited to attend the formal opening of bids. Specifications and Drawings will be available by email from the Office of the Architect, Graham & Hyde Architects, Inc., 344 West Chestnut Street, Canton, Illinois, 61520, 309-647-2978 or via the following online PLANROOM address: https://www.grahamandhydeplans.com/. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to all applicable laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America, including but not limited to the "Preference to Citizens (Illinois) on Public Works Projects Act" and the Wages of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage Act). All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is in the Proposal Form in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Board of Education, AlWood CUSD #225. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond will be rejected. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Board of Education, AlWood CUSD #225 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held for this project on 2-4-2026, at 2:00pm will be conducted at the project site.
