Loving the Construction Manager on behalf of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Health Science Center, will receive Sealed Bids from Prequalified 1st Tier Contractors on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM, UNC at Pembroke, Pinchbeck Maintenance Building A, located at 128 Facilities Drive, Pembroke, NC 28372 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, materials, and equipment. A virtual bid opening will be held at 2:00 PM via Zoom following the close of the bid deadline. If necessary, a rebid will be scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at UNC at Pembroke, Pinchbeck Maintenance Building A, located at 128 Facilities Drive, Pembroke, NC 28372. (GS143-128.2c) Project Description: The new UNCP Health Science Center will feature a 3-story, 75,000-square-foot building. The structure will include a steel framing system, augmented with concrete/metal deck floor slabs for the elevated floors and a slab-on-grade first floor. The facility's interiors will consist of classrooms, labs, and study spaces on the first two levels, with the Optometry and Occupational Therapy Clinics on the first floor. The partial third floor will house the administration office spaces for the building. A food service component will also be located on the first floor with a multifunction dining hall space that can double as a large lecture room. The exterior of the building will incorporate a mixture of masonry brick veneer, GFRC, precast, curtainwall/storefront glazing, and metal panels.
