Alachua County Legislative Delegation Meeting
Senator Stan McClain, Chair of the Alachua County Legislative Delegation, announces that the Legislative Delegation's Public Meeting for the 2026 Session will be held at the Joseph W. Fordyce Building (R-01) on October 20th, 2025 from 1:00pm – 5:00pm (or at the conclusion of the speakers, whichever comes first). The Joseph W. Fordyce Building (R-01) is on the campus of Santa Fe State College located at 3000 NW 83rd Street in Gainesville.
This annual public meeting is an opportunity for citizens, elected officials, cities and local governments, and other civic organizations to address the delegation before the start of the 2026 Legislative Session. This year, the delegation will consider a local bill, The People's Municipal Utility. The bill will restore Section 3.06 of the city charter and deletes the Gainesville Regional Utilities Authority.
If you would like to be placed on the printed agenda, please fill out this form found at https://forms.gle/Qw84KU45zmcLd16R7 and send any documents for the delegation to treiber.jennifer@flsenate.gov before noon on Thursday, October 9th, 2025. The speaker's form and information documents should be submitted by this date to be included in the Delegation's workbook. You may also complete a Speaker's Form on the day of the meeting, and you will be afforded time to speak in the order in which it was received up to 5:00 P.M. If you do not send information ahead of time, please bring five (5) copies of all handouts to the meeting for distribution.

If a Delegation Member decides to sponsor your request, you will need to contact them for the required House of Representative and Senate forms.
