Unknown heirs, legatees, successors, or assigns of Bertha L. Powell, deceased, ("Defendants") are hereby notified that on September 26, 2025, the Franklin County Commissioners, Franklin County, Ohio ("Plaintiff) filed its complaint in the Common Pleas Court of Franklin County, Ohio, 345 S. High Street, Floor 5B, Columbus, Ohio 43215, in Case No. 25CV008335, and that they have been made parties defendant therein; that said complaint seeks to appropriate private property for public use, said property being a portion of real property commonly known as 1961 E. Cooke Rd, Columbus, Ohio, 43224, for the purpose of the Cooke Road, County Road No. 80, from Karl Road, County Road No. 76, to Cleveland Avenue, County Road No. 75, Cooke Road Improvement project, Clinton Township, Franklin County, Ohio, and seeks to compensate the owners for their interest and, upon payment to said owners or deposit of said amount with the Court as ordered, the interests of said Defendants in said property shall be vested in the Franklin County Board of Commissioners;
Said Defendants have or may claim to have an interest in said premises; and that, therefore, Plaintiff prays that the Defendant be required to set up their interest in said premises or be forever barred from asserting the same. Said Defendants are further notified that they are required to answer said complaint within 28 days after the last publication of this notice which will be published once a week for six consecutive weeks or judgment may be rendered as prayed for therein.
