Article 30 of NYS Public Health Law Public Hearing As required by Article 30 of the New York State Public Health Law the Southern Tier Regional EMS Council will be holding a Public Hearing to determine the "public need" for Steuben County Emergency medical services to provide ambulance services to Steuben County. The Southern Tier Reginoal EMS Council is soliciting comments from any and all interested parties regarding this matter. The NYS definition of public need is: "The demonstrated absense reduced availabiltiy or an inadequate level of care in the ambulance or emergency medical service available to a geographical area, which is not reality correctable through the relocation or improvement of existing resources" Copies of the application or a map of the proposed area of operation may be obtained from the Southern Tier Regional EMS Council.
