Asheville City Council Public Hearings - January 27, 2026 Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Asheville will hold the following public hearing at its regular meeting at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th day of January, 2026, in the Council Chamber, located on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, located at 70 Court Plaza, Asheville, N.C.: 1. To consider an amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance to amend Section 7-14-1 to amend Section 7-14-1 that would allow existing nonconforming structures to be converted into Accessory Dwelling Units without Board of Adjustment review. 2. To rezone 22 Broad Street, and further identified on the Buncombe County tax maps and records as PIN 9649-43-3868, from RM-8 Residential Multi-Family Medium Density District to Community Business I District.
