Beach Haven Land Use Board BOROUGH OF BEACH HAVEN JOINT LAND USE BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 2026-RO-01 ANNUAL MEETING NOTICE 2026 WHEREAS, the Open Public Meetings Act of 1975, P.L. 1975, c. 231, requires public bodies to provide notice of all meetings in an effort to enhance the proper functioning of democratic processes; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Joint Land Use Board of the Borough of Beach Haven, in the County of Ocean, in the State of New Jersey, as follows: 1. Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:4-1 et seq., including Section 13 (10:4-18), the Borough of Beach Haven Joint Land Use Board (hereinafter referred to as "Board") hereby designates the following dates and times for its public meetings unless otherwise modified by resolution of this Board. Formal action will be taken and closed sessions may be held. Such meetings shall be held in the Beach Haven Municipal Building, 300 Engleside Avenue, Beach Haven, New Jersey and via Zoom on the following dates: Monday, January 5, 2026..................... 6:00pm Monday, February 2, 2026................... 6:00pm Monday, March 2, 2026....................... 6:00pm Monday, April 6, 2026......................... 6:00pm Monday, May 4, 2026.......................... 6:00pm Monday, June 1, 2026.......................... 6:00pm Monday, July 6, 2026........................... 6:00pm Monday, August 3, 2026...................... 6:00pm Tuesday, September 8, 2026................ 6:00pm Monday, October 5, 2026..................... 6:00pm Monday, November 2, 2026................. 6:00pm Monday, December 7, 2026................. 6:00pm Monday, January 4, 2027.............................. 6:00pm 2. The Board also establishes the date, time, and place for its first meeting of 2027, as January 4, 2027, at 6:00 p.m., at the Beach Haven Municipal Building, 300 Engleside Avenue, Beach Haven, New Jersey. This will be the reorganization meeting and will establish the "Annual Notice," and the selection of the slate of officers. 3. Public comment at remote meetings can be made by raising your electronic hand, raising your physical hand if on video, or calling into the meeting on a regular phone and unmuting yourself by pressing *6. 4. Agendas for these meetings may be accessed on the Borough website, www.beachhaven-nj.gov, on the "Land Use Board" tab, by clicking the date of the meeting. Other relevant documents, including applications and accompanying paperwork, for these meetings, can be found on the Borough website, also, under the "Land Use Board" tab. The agenda of all Board meetings, to the extent known, shall be as follows: Flag Salute Sunshine Law announcement Roll call Approval of previous minutes Approval of bills New Business/Public Hearing Resolutions Public comment Adjournment 5. A copy of this resolution, containing the regularly scheduled meetings, shall be posted and maintained, throughout 2026, prominently on the Borough website and on a board reserved for such or similar announcements, located in the Borough Hall. 6. The following website is hereby designated as the official website for public notices of the Board, https://beachhaven-nj.gov/legal-notices/. Effective, March 1, 2026, this site shall be used to publish legal notices. A copy of this link shall be sent to the Secretary of State to post on their legal notice's website. Prior to March 1, 2026, this site may be used to publish legal notices, but all such notices shall continue to be published in the Beach Haven Times or the Asbury Park Press, which shall continue to serve as official newspapers of the Board, through February 28, 2026. 7. In the event that a meeting described in paragraph 1 above is rescheduled, the Board shall, in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, post, and submit such revision as required by law, including posting electronically. 8. Attendance/participation via zoom is provided as a convenience to the public and is not a requirement of the open public meetings act. In the event of technical issues with zoom, the meeting will proceed as scheduled, in-person, without the zoom option. 9. Special meetings of the Board may be called by: a. The Chair; b. The Vice-Chair; c. Three (3) or more members of the Board; d. andAt the recommendation of the Board Solicitor 10. Written notice of special meetings of the Board, shall be given at least forty-eight (48) hours prior thereto, giving the time, date, location, and to the extent known, the agenda of such special meetings, which notice shall accurately state whether formal action may or may not be taken and which be provided for in the following manner: A. By posting a copy thereof in the Borough Hall, in the place reserved for such or similar announcements. B. Prior to March 1, 2026, by transmitting to the Beach Haven Times and the Asbury Park Press, which are the official newspapers of the Beach Haven Joint Land Use Board. C. As of March 1, 2026, by posting on the Borough of Beach Haven official webpage for Legal Notices, as follows: https://beachhaven-nj.gov/legal-notices/ pursuant to law. D. Delivering the notice to the Board members and the Office of the Borough Clerk. 11. The Board Chair may at any time appoint members to committees and designate the Chair of each committee. 12. The Board Chair may at his/her discretion assign or delegate other functions and responsibilities to individual members of subcommittees of the Board. Any such assignment or delegation shall be reported by the Chair to the Board at its next regular meeting following the assignment or delegation. A motion was duly made by Mr. Genna and seconded by Mr. Wenger, that the above resolution be adopted. The above resolution was ADOPTED by a 9 to 0 vote of the Borough of Beach Haven Joint Land Use Board at a meeting held on January 5, 2026.
