Board Minutes Regular 12-8-2025 TWO RIVERS PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION Board Regular Minutes, Dec 8, 2025 The meeting was called to order by President Klinkner at 5:45 pm.Present: Commissioners Wendy Brandt, Jennifer Henrickson, Tim Klinkner, Gary Shavlik, Randy Williams, Lori Zimney. Excused: Zak Peterson. Written notice of this meeting was sent to the news media on Friday, Dec 5, 2025. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Brandt, second by Shavlik to approve the agenda; motion carried 6-0. Motion by Zimney, second by Henrickson to approve the minutes from the previous meetings: Board Regular-Nov 10, 2025, Board Regular-Nov 24, 2025; motion carried 6-0. Recognition of Invited Guest - Deana C. presented the Library Media Plan for 2025-2028. No public comment. No communications. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS: Motion by Williams, second by Brandt to approve the bills to be paid for November 2025 in the amount of $947,217.81; motion carried 6-0. Referendum bills: None. Motion by Williams, second by Henrickson to approve the Financial Statements for October 2025; motion carried 6-0. BOARD COMMITTEE REPORTS: Scheduled meetings: Finance - Jan 15, 2026, Facility/Technology-Feb 5, 2026. OLD BUSINESS: Motion by Williams, second by Brandt to approve the high school and *middle school course updates and proposals:College Algebra replacement for Algebra 2, Digital Art & Design replacement for Graphic Arts 1, Digital Photography replacement for Photography 1, American History 205, American History 206, History Through Film, Music and Literature, Fantastical Literature, Abnormal Psychology, *Leadership; motion carried 6-0. Other as appropriate: None. NEW BUSINESS: Klinkner shared the notice of extension of Administrator contracts before January 31, 2026. Motion by Henrickson, second by Shavlik to approve the 2025-2028 Library Media Plan as presented; motion carried 6-0. Motion by Zimney, second by Williams to accept the following donations: $300 from Patrick and Lois Stapleton to the Angel Fund, $50 from Two Rivers Rotary Club in memory of Jerry Scriver to the Angel Fund and $2,000 from Two Rivers Rotary Club to the Angel Fund; motion carried 6-0. Other as appropriate: None. ADMINISTRATOR UPDATE: Johnson announced the community presentations on the state report card: Jan 2026-City Council and Rotary Club meetings. Klinkner discussed the ongoing efforts of the TR Proud Capital Donation Campaign. Johnson expressed the enjoyment of the winter concerts and announced the remaining concerts and the listening session for food service staff members. Coming events were announced. Motion by Henrickson, second by Brandt to adjourn to Closed Session under State Statute 19.85 (1)(c)(e)(g) for the purpose of discussion: Considering performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, deliberating the investing of public funds whenever reasons require a closed session, conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved, at 6:24 pm; motion carried 6-0 on a roll call vote. Motion by Shavlik, second by Henrickson to convene into Regular Session for the purpose adjournment; motion carried 6-0. Motion by Shavlik, second by Henrickson to adjourn the meeting at 7:39 pm; motion carried.
