Bowling Green Township Public Hearing Notice
The Bowling Green Township Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed zoning resolution text amendments on the 25th day of September 2025 at 7pm at 15508 4th ST, Brownsville OH 43721 (Community Building behind playground). The zoning amendments propose to eliminate certain permitted and conditional uses in the agricultural district, changing quarrying and mining of natural resources from a permitted use to a conditional use in the agricultural district, and add clarity as to the process to obtain a conditional permit. Also for the agricultural district, the amendments further include limitations of portable storage containers (shipping containers) on property; add the regulation, permitting, and definitions of solar panels, accessories, and/or equipment; and add a prohibition and definitions of medical marijuana operators, cultivators, processors, and retail dispensaries.
The proposed zoning amendments to the resolution will be available for examination for a period of at least 10 days prior to the public meeting on the township website at www.bowlinggreentwp.org or by request to the fiscal officer at duvalja@yahoo.com.
The Bowling Green Township Zoning Commission will, within 30 days after the hearing, submit the matter to the Board of Township Trustees, along with a recommendation on the proposed amendment.
