CARSON CITY PURCHASING AND CONTRACTS NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS BID No. 26300249 PWP-CC-2026-130 Vulnerable Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project Engineers Estimate $1,560,000.00 SUMMARY: Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the Vulnerable Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project Contract. The project will provide pedestrian safety improvements within Carson City's historic district along West Musser, West Telegraph, and West 5th Streets. All three streets are within the Carson Middle School and Bordewich-Bray Elementary School areas. Along with pedestrian and bicycle improvements, the project includes pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction treatments to improve safety for pedestrians at residential driveways and cross streets, and sidewalk infrastructure to establish compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The project also includes minor modifications to storm drainage facilities. The project is federally funded through the Federal Highway Administration. Sealed bids must be submitted in accordance with the bid documents, drawings and plans, specifications and special conditions related hereto. BID OPENING will be held online via webex meeting at 2:30 p.m. on January 13, 2026, meeting information will be issued through an addendum. Bidders, their representatives, and all other interested persons may be present during the bid opening. AWARD RECOMMENDATION will be made by the Carson City Purchasing and Contracts Department. AWARD will be made by the Carson City Regional Transportation Commission and is tentatively scheduled for February 11, 2026.
